Sangeet - Dinner, Dancing and Entertainment

Location: Wok N' Tandoor 11833 Artesia Blvd Artesia, CA. 90701 We'll kick off our wedding celebrations with a festive evening of Indian fusion fare, vibrant music, and dancing . Please wear comfortable shoes for the dancing or be ready to take them off! Here's what to expect at the Sangeet: ~Mehendi~ Mehendi is the traditional art of applying intricate henna designs to the hands, celebrated as a beloved pre-wedding ritual. ~Garba~ ( Performances and Group Dance) Garba is a traditional Gujarati folk dance performed in circular formations, honoring community and celebration. Family members and professional dancers will open the floor, then guide guests through the steps so everyone can join in. ~Dandiya Raas~ Dandiya Raas is a lively partner dance where two decorated sticks are struck together in rhythmic patterns. After a demonstration by family and professionals, guests will be taught the steps and invited to dance.

Please join us as we celebrate our wedding day with a traditional ceremony. Please note the Ceremony Start Time is 5pm! There will be an outdoor welcoming party ("Baraat" ) outside of the venue. We'll have live music and dancing is encouraged! 4:00pm - 4:45pm : ~The Baraat ~ The Groom's Grand Arrival The Baraat is a joyful procession celebrating the groom's arrival , filled with dhol drums, dancing, and the infectious energy of family and friends moving together in love and festivity. When the procession arrives, the two families meet and will be ceremoniously welcomed by the brides family. It is the moment the celebration truly begins! 5:00pm ~Wedding Ceremony~ Join us for an outdoor Traditional Indian Wedding Ceremony Sprinkled with Western Flare. A Hindu wedding is a beautiful tapestry of ancient ritual and profound love, where every flame, every vow, and every step 6:00pm - 11:00pm ~Cocktail Hour and Reception~ After the ceremony, guests are invited to a cocktail hour, followed by an evening dinner and reception with food, toasts, music, and dancing. Come ready to eat well, laugh, dance and celebrate! We can’t wait to share this special day with you!
